汤柏添,中山大学物理与天文学院副教授,博士生导师。本科和硕士毕业于学天文系。2015年在美国华盛顿州立大学物理与天文系获得博士学位。在智利进行博士后研究,2017年加入中山大学。个人研究兴趣在于利用光学及近红外观测数据来了解恒星集团(包括星团和星系)的演化。至今已发表SCI文章70余篇。摘要:
Since the birth of galaxies, most of their stars have formed in clusters, making the evolution of galaxies and star clusters inseparable. The globular clusters that formed in the early Universe, with their extremely high stellar densities, challenge existing theories of stellar and galactic evolution. During this talk, I will reveal the connections between the recent works of our research group, under the background of Milky Way evolution, including (1) the chemical evolution of the Sculptor dwarf galaxy, (2) the ripples of the galactic disk, (3) the star clusters of the Sagittarius dwarf galaxy, and (4) the escaped stars from globular clusters. Finally, I will also compare the studies of globular clusters in local-group galaxies and high-redshift galaxies to obtain a more complete evolutionary picture.
